Hi everyone! Hope your weeks are going well so far...it's dreary here which doesn't help getting through the work day. :(
Anyway, since we are having our preconstruction meeting this Friday, I am a little nervous about something. Like I said in my first post, we told the sales rep that we needed to close in September - and that would make or break the deal, and he made closing Sept. 30th on the contract for us. However, since they are starting construction some time next week, what if they finish the house sooner? Do they MAKE you move in ahead of time? Even if it's in my contract? Any insight would be very helpful to ease my mind!!!
I thought someone on here has their house almost done, but they're not closing for a while.
ReplyDeleteMaybe call your sales rep if you're still worried before the meeting Friday.
Yeah I believe you can set your closing date honey... Nice to meet you!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks 2011! We will definitely be making a call to our sales rep.
ReplyDeleteIndia - it's nice to meet you as well! I've read over your blog lots, I appreciate the information. :)
Our house has been finished for about a month now. We requested to close at the end of April due to our current lease situation. We are also waiting on some things with the bank that have been taking forever. But we should be closing in a week or two. The only thing you have to be careful of is going over that date. Ryan Homes is asking us to now pay carrying costs if we don't close by the end of May. AND THEY ARE NOT CHEAP!! But congratulations!
